Chip Jorstad is Executive Vice President & President of Credit and Bank Administration for Busey Bank, a subsidiary of First Busey Corporation.
Chip has over 15 years of experience in the banking industry and first joined Busey in 2011. Before being named President of Credit and Bank Administration in 2022, he served as Co-Chief Banking Officer for two years. Chip has also held the role of Regional President for Commercial Banking—overseeing business banking efforts, including Agricultural, Commercial, Construction and Real Estate financing. He started his professional career in 2002 with First Midwest Bank. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Finance, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Volunteerism and community involvement are important to Chip and, from 2011 to 2020, he served as a Board Member at Champaign County CASA. In addition, he currently serves on the Resource Development Committee for the United Way of Champaign County and is active in the Coaches vs. Cancer at Illinois. Chip is also on the Board of Directors with Intersect Illinois, a statewide nonprofit economic development organization focused on bringing new businesses, jobs and investment to Illinois. He also serves as a volunteer basketball coach at the Champaign County YMCA, and a volunteer volleyball coach at St. Matthew Catholic School in Champaign.
Chip was also named to Central Illinois Business Magazine’s Forty Under 40 list, which recognizes young professionals for their achievements, experience, innovation, leadership and community involvement.
