Banging Gavel Brews

A brand new brewery called Banging Gavel Brews is looking to make its debut in Tinley Park, located at 17400 Oak Park Ave.

The company’s first location will move in the Historic Vogt Building in Summer 2023, according to the company’s website. The team behind the new brewery consists of a lawyer, Jim Richert, two accountants, Kyle O’Connor and Ed Richert, and a graphic designer, Beckie (Richert) O’Connor. For the head brewer, the family enlisted J.T. Rea, who specializes in traditional German and Belgian styles as well as barrel-aged wild beer. Together the team will offer Banging Gavel Brew’s latest beers paired with delicious food prepared from the kitchen.
