An Oakland, California-based youth media nonprofit said it’s leasing space in Chicago for its Midwest hub.

YR Media, which used to be known as Youth Radio, said it’s leasing 5,200 square feet of space at 1100 West Cermak Road that will be used for a “learning and multimedia production hub for historically underrepresented content creators ages 14–24.”

The outpost, located in Pilsen between Chicago’s South and West sides, will include a newsroom and recording studios, as well as other media equipment.
